Gun Firing on Its Own Indefinitely
I've been playing BF6 on PC using a Nacon Revolution Pro 5 controller for a while now.
Since I started playing, I've had an issue where my gun would occasionally misfire. It wasn't constant just an extra shot here and there. It was annoying, but I could live with it.
However, about an hour ago, the issue became much worse. As soon as I load into a match, my weapon immediately starts firing continuously and won't stop unless I click the left mouse button. The controller itself isn't physically stuck, and this only happens in-game.
I've spent some time researching the problem, but I'm finding a lot of conflicting information. The most common explanation I've seen is that the anti-cheat system thinks I'm using some kind of mod or macro and is intentionally causing the issue.
I'm not using any mods, macros, or cheats of any kind.
I've already tried all of the common troubleshooting steps, including:
- Restarting everything (PC, game, controller)
- Enabling/disabling Steam Input
- Recalibrating the controller
- Updating the controller firmware
- Testing different controller settings
- Removed any conflicting BT devices (using KeyChron Keyboard , Corsair Mouse, Sony Headset are all i have on)
- Unmap firing from M&K
Unfortunately, none of that has helped.
It's really frustrating because the game was at least playable before, and now I literally can't play using my controller. I don't want to switch to mouse and keyboard since I've always played FPS games with a controller, and if i knew this would have been an issue i wouldnt have purchased the game to begin with
Has anyone else experienced this with the Nacon Revolution Pro 5 or any controler for that matter, or does anyone know of a fix? I have seen some information about the Steam Controller doing something similar but no fixes helped me .Any help would be greatly appreciated.
