  • SpringisLoading Battlefield 6 minimum system requirements are 16 GB of memory and a 6 GB graphics card.

ROG Xbox Ally X has 24 GB LPDDR5X-8000 memory that's shared between the CPU and GPU.

The CPU needs 16 GB of memory. That leaves 8 GB of vram for the GPU.

24 GB - 16 GB = 8 GB of vram for the GPU.

6 GB might be enough vram for the GPU since low video resolutions require less vram and the minimum system requirement is 6 GB vram.

This will give the CPU 18 GB of memory. I have a feeling the GPU driver is crashing because the CPU is running out of memory, but that's just a guess.

I also read limiting the framerate to 60fps in BF6 graphics settings might help. Did you uninstall the HD Texture Packs for BF6 to help free up more memory?

Thanks for replying. I will have a try to change VRAM to 6GB. Also a new display driver is avaliabe today, I am installing now and see if the problem is solved.

  • Update: I tried to change VRAM option from 8G to 6G and even less. The game crashed unless setting VRAM to “auto”. It can play almost without crash now but auto option is not a right choice for every game. Hope there is an update for the game or for the driver.

  • Update2: the game starts to crash again after 1.1.2.0 on my ROG XBOX Ally X with same DirectX Error.

I too have the same issue. Was there ever any resolution?

  • As you haven’t specified the error, I’ll assume it’s the same error I get on the Xbox Ally X.  The DXGI_Error_Device_Removed or DXGI_Error_Device_Hung

This is not an Xbox Ally X specific error.  Hundreds of us getting it across various configs and graphics cards, be it Nvidia or AMD.

there is a huge thread on it that is marked as solved, but it is no way solved, and if I’m honest, I have given up any hope.  May as well find something else to play.
