High FPS, but feels much lower

The game shows high FPS but the gameplay feels laggy and choppy, like the FPS seem much lower than what I’m actually getting. Even when my FPS stays high the movement and overall smoothness do not match it which makes the experience feel laggy and really bad. I have already tried common fixes but the issue doesn’t go away, and I have really good PC specs. Please how can I fix this?
