High packet loss and lag/rubber banding in battlefield six

Hi guys ever since battlefield six released and I bought the the game for my PC. I have been experiencing extreme lag and packet loss which makes the game virtually unplayable! I have fiber optic Internet hardwired into my PC all other tests and everything I have done so that I have low pain and my network issue is not the problem. The only time I can play a game and have it be somewhat enjoyable is if I browser search and go under North American servers only. The game choices are horrible filled with bots and now I can’t even level up my guns if I play in browser search. This issue only happens when I play the multiplayer playlist or featured playlist. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s such a disappointment and I’m so bummed out because I love battlefield sick so much but just wanna have an enjoyable experience.

  • I've been commenting all over the forums as I'm having the same issue. After some research, I found that (at least in my case and many others) I'm connecting to servers in Santiago Chile despite living east coast US. This causes super high ping and packet loss, which in turn makes toy lose frames and "slow motion"

Check to see if it's happening to you too. In a matchmaking game, go to the menu and then settings, in the bottom right it should tell you some info. If you see "Santiago Chile"...you're in the same boat.  I think you also have to go into settings>System and turn on the network graph to see this data.

No workaround that I found, only way to play and not bug out is playing custom servers until EA fixes this. It also doesn't matter what launcher you bought the game from

  • Great I really appreciate that. I’m gonna check it out first thing in the morning when I wake up and boot up the game! So is this something I need to do after I click on a match making game or am in one? Or can this info be observed from the main settings menu?

Yep, that’s the issue just checked my settings while I was in game and it said in the bottom right corner of my screen that I was connected to Santiago by default

In game I have the same listing as you too. Santiago bottom right of the screen. Made a support ticket regarding this and was ignored.

I have made a ticket too and have got no response. I haven’t even heard them even say a single world about this on x/ twitter etc. seems like there is a decent amount of people experiencing this issue. I’m surprised they haven’t even addressed it yet.

Soon as I get back home and jump back on the game I will screen shot it! Do you or anyone know if using a VPN on your PC would resolve this problem? I’ve never used a VPN and don’t know much about them. I was just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on that?
