High Ping Party

Season 1 to mid season 2 my party would get matches 30 ms and friend 59ms. I don’t know what changed but now I get sent to San Jose servers 80-90 ms and friend gets dropped to 22ms. How is this fair match making? Why route my game from MA to CA?…
