Javelin Anticheat error (7)(1)

I just redownloaded the game for the first time since launch and am now being hit with "EA Javelin Anticheat encountered an error. Please restart your  PC.: C:\Program Files\EA\AC\EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe(7)(1)""

- I've restarted my pc many times
- I've done manual reinstalls of Javelin
- Redownloaded BF6 twice

The small splash screen that says its starting Javelin is the farthest I get. I haven't been able to get farther then that

I'm facing the same problem after encountered a bluescreen and reboot during a game. I did nothing but it just can't go further than this error.

I don't want to reinstall the Windows and lose many applications' data so I installed another Windows in another partition just for BF6. It works, but I'll have to boot in the new Windows everytime I want to play BF6 which is really annoying.

Yeah I really don't wan to do that either, I don't understand what the issue could be

  • Uninstall EA anticheat using the 'uninstall all' option. Reboot the PC to finish uninstalling.

Next uninstall BF6 and EA app. Reboot the PC again.

Now install BF6 in Steam app and it should also install EA anticheat and EA app as well.

The error message you're seeing means EA anticheat isn't installed correctly. Probably because you need to install BF6, EA anticheat, and EA app using the Steam installer.

Hi I have the same issue over here on fc26. Whatever it is, at this point I am pretty sure the fault is on EA's end. Because I have tried absolutely everything including reinstalling windows.

Doesn't work for me. The error persists. I think it relates to some the envrionment. I hope it can at least show us a log to point out what's stopping it from running.

  • I'm now in the same boat. Ive been having random crashes since the winter update but for the last 2-3 days I just haven't been able to play at all. Tried every troubleshooting step imaginable and even ended up doing a clean install of windows 11 and only installing bare bones drivers, steam, ea app and Bf6. Still can't launch the game.

Hello, I ran into the same problem and tried to solve it with EA Tech Support, but it didn’t work. So I decided to fix it myself, and I managed to solve it.

    1. Delete everything related to BF6 and EA AntiCheat (you’ll need to do this manually in Windows Explorer — Steam’s uninstall doesn’t remove everything).

    2. Go to Windows Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Recovery > Troubleshoot problems with Windows Update (in my case, it repaired version 25H2; it took some time).

    3. Reboot your PC.

    4. Reinstall BF6.

Disclaimer: This worked for me, and it might work for you too.

EA support has also adopted this solution approach and asked me to post it in the forum.
