Mouse can't leave game window (Steam-PC)

After the Season 1 update, my mouse is unable to leave the game window unless I alt-tab from the game.

This issue persists regardless of being Windowed, Fullscreen, or Borderless.

I've tried restarting the game, cycling through the display types, turning V-Sync off and on, opening up the Windows Game Bar and turning on "Remember this is a game," all to no change. 

There is either some issue I'm missing, or this is a bug, as the game window didn't capture my mouse prior to the Season 1 update.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Surely I'm not the only one. Were you able to fix it? I know its a minor thing, but I liked being able to just send my mouse off the game window when in the menus.

    this has been driving me nuts. I have my reasons why i need window mode which i used to hit esc and go into windows and do what i needed to do. now after the season 1 update, for reason unknown and only the dev's would know, we can no longer simply do that... 

    i found a thread on reddit with a bunch of people complaining about the same thing. especially when you don't know they are going to do this and you start messing around with in game settings... so annoying.

    I have the same issue. My biggest complaint about it is, I am constantly switching between game & discord & messenger apps. Without this issue all I have to do is hit ESC and then my mouse is free. but now I have to ALT Tab and it doesn't always work in a hurry. Mostly annoying because I know its not supposed to be happening like that.
