Nobody can see me..

I bought the game through EA.   Then I bought it on steam as I prefer that platform, but didn't realise I can't use the same account (had to start again).  So i refunded the steam version and went back to EA.

Now, none of my friends, infact nobody at all, can see me when they search me.  I unlinked steam from my EA account, I fully reinstalled the game, nothing works.

When I click on 'party', even by myself, I get the attached screenshot.  I *can* join my friends existing parties, but if I send them a message ingame, it comes from 'blank'.   They cannot find my ea account if they search it.

I assume when steam became active, it over rode the back end settings for how people find me, but when it was refunded and perhaps not uninstalled, its 'stalled' on this setting.
