Nvidia / DLSS Memory Leak still persists

It seems that the NVIDIA / DLSS memory Leak which was already present in Beta still persists.
See: https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/comments/1o388rd/vram_memory_leak/
I have the same problems. It's like in the first 30 minutes I have 100 fps, next game 80 max, next game 60.

Any news on this? Or anyone with the same problem?

Best regards

I have this issue on my 5070ti too. I have found switching to balance dlss fix it then back to my original setting on next match fixes it.

  • just replying to keep this going, it still ain't fixed, just constant restarts to be able to play, like 1 post above stated, 1st match around 120, next is 80 90 ish, next is 60, certain areas lag greatly, next match it fixes itself then gets even more terrible after like 20 secs now next match im at 30fps in slow motion and gotta restart

I havent been able to boot into even a botted match because of out of memory issues. i9-14000k 5090RTX

  • just realized this was 1 of my issues with this game to explain why it slows down to a crawl and shows my memory being maxed out even when graphics options on low and dlss on performance, i have a 5070 ti , would it explain why the dlss picture glitches out on my card? and stays that way then suddenly my lag is gone and my screen quality is clear again, and everytime i did notice it the memory was maxing out so i think this is the cause of my slow downs and weird screen glitch "WHEN" it occurs, it explains why when i shutdown i can play smooth again.  after so many matches it starts with one match an area in the map is laggy and i disregard it until dlss glitches out and my screen becomes fuzzy if i keep playing it clears itself and happens again until entire game is laggy. once i restart pc that same area is smooth with screen clarity.

  • My hardware:

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio 8GB
    RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB DDR4 3600 CL16

Seems to be a nvidia issue

This seems to be the best post describing the issue so far, explaining that the GPU's VRAM is below max when you first load the game, then gradually it climbs until its beyond Max, during the time causing stuttering until eventually it crashes the game to desktop.

Crashes either during the main menu, during spawn selection or during gameplay with no error to show, just straight to desktop.

The gameplay is constantly stuttering in bursts, making it unplayable and then it inevitably crashes.

I had no problems whatsoever during the beta, no changes to hardware, all drivers and software updated.

If i get through one match and then exit to the main menu, check my graphics settings, i can see my GPU VRAM is beyond the Max threshold, when i first started it was way below the max threshold. Theres definitely a problem with memory leak imo.

Tried lowering every setting to Low, same outcome.
