Packet Loss on PC

Every time  I have played the game recently I have had extremely bad packet loss for the entire time I have been in a match. I've dumped my DNS cache, switched ethernet, set compatibility to Windows 8, restarted router, reinstalled the game, reinstalled and updated drivers, all to no avail. Game ran fine for the first couple weeks, idk what changed. pls help.

OskooI_007 That and latency variation and only occasionally packet loss. My bad for being misleading in my initial description.

  • I've had the same icons on my screen, it looks like a whole lot of people are having this problem.  I also had a problem with low FPS and super slow animations such as firing, reloading, and ADS, and my CPU usage is above 100% (another problem I've heard multiple other people are having).  And at the same time I have lots of latency and a huge amount of packet loss, making the game basically unplayable.  I just started playing on the 16th, and this has been an issue for every battle I've played.  The shooting range runs perfectly fine frames-wise, but the moment I get into a battle, everything slows down like I'm playing in molasses or something.  It's definitely not on my end; my PC is mid-lower end, my drivers are up-to-date, my internet connection is fine, and my in-game ping is consistently below 80.  Hopefully they figure out what's going on soon, cause it's pretty much unplayable right now.

I was just about to post the same thread as i have done on multiple occasions,my fps is fine but i constantly have network  icons in the yellow or red and packetloss in yellow,i have tried lowering settings to low but the problems persists even with high fps,and this is ongoing,i can play for a week without serious problems and then bam! back to being unplayable again, the latency variation is the one im having the most problems with and the result is rubberbanding and "iceskating" players and me too.Dont know what to do anymore about this and am probably skipping my ea pro subscription. Also im connected to the santiago common server that many have talked about here and on reddit.

SmolBiggs thank you for posting the screenshot. The 3 yellow stacked rectangles indicate the game framerate is below 60fps. Is this the icon you usually see?

Afraid it only fixed the problem for a couple of minutes before it went back to having bad packet loss again

Try clearing your directx cache.  I had bad packet loss and my pc would lock up.  Tried everything I could think of and came across an article talking about the directx cache.  Cleared it and have been running fine since.

I should also add that my CPU FPS was fluctuating a lot so I changed the HAGS switch to "on".
