Party voice chat not working
Hi,
I’d like to report a persistent issue with the party voice chat in Battlefield 6 on PC.
A few days ago, the voice chat worked correctly between me (Steam version) and a friend (also on Steam).
However, yesterday the party voice chat suddenly stopped working for everyone in our group — including a third friend playing via the EA App.
Here’s what we observed:
- The microphones are detected correctly in the game settings (the game shows our nicknames when we speak).
- The party voice chat is enabled in the audio options.
- No one can hear anyone, and no voice indicators appear when others speak — even though each player sees their own mic activity.
- We tried both “party” and “squad” voice chat channels.
- Restarting the game, EA App, and Steam did not fix it.
- Audio devices and Windows microphone permissions are all correctly set.
- We also checked that no mute or push-to-talk settings were interfering.
What’s strange is that even the two friends (Steam + EA App) couldn’t hear each other, so it doesn’t seem to be a local issue on my PC.
We’re wondering if this could be:
- a temporary issue with EA VOIP / relay servers
- a cross-launcher compatibility bug between Steam and EA App players
Could you please check if there are any ongoing issues with the Battlefield 6 VOIP system or party chat service?
