(PC) Game not launching anymore.
This is my last resort. I'm genuinely losing hope. Ever since the Season 1 update my game just refuses to launch. The anti-cheat loads up, theres a small black window opening up - and poof the game closes and the EA client opens up again.
I've tried:
- reinstalling the game / installing it to another ssd
- reinstalling drivers / reverting drivers
- resetting the bios / resetting the secure boot key
- reinstalling the anti cheat itself and letting bf6 install the anti cheat on its own.
- running the .EXE as Administrator.
- clearing the cache in EA App → Settings → Clear Cache.
- uninstalling EA Anti‑Cheat from Add/Remove Programs, delete leftover folders in C:\Program Files\EA\AC, ensure EAAntiCheatService is gone, reboot, and let BF6 reinstall it again
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- SFC /scannow
- in Windows Security → Device Security, toggle Memory Integrity off, reboot.
- updating to the latest BIOS/UEFI Firmware version from the motherboard vendor.
- ensuring Secure Boot is set to Standard (not Custom).
literally nothing works. I'm running out of ideas and I'm so frustrated as the game was working perfectly fine before the update, I've had 55h without a single crash.
Do any of you guys have an idea what else I could try to get it running?
edit:
I forgot to mention I've also checked the event viewer and there's this listing happening, whenver I'm launching the game. Can't find anything about it online though.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
EAAntiCheatService
The game bf6.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x186AA
i dont know how to mark a solution but my solution was to just reinstall windows. everythings working fine now. no idea what exactly changed in the system with this update that made it incompatible but its working now.
