There are many different server farms, my range is from 6-24ms, I never had such a low ping (6ms) before tbh that server must have been very close to me. It always is random where you end up.
I only have crappy 50 Mbit Down and 10 Up but my latency is fine. I live in south west germany, there are many server farms in Frankfurt, Ulm and such cities, so I probably get connected to them. If i am connected to the UK I get these 24 ish ms what is still fine IMO. If I am connected to New York it's around 120 ish iirc.
