Poor Netcode Hit Registration Major Gameplay Issues
I’d like to highlight a technical issue that’s seriously affecting the gameplay experience in Battlefield 6. The netcode and hit registration feel inconsistent and unreliable under certain conditions.
I’ve noticed that hit detection and server synchronization fluctuate heavily, especially when moving across the map. When you stay in one position, shots seem to register fine. But as soon as you start moving or enter new areas, gunfights become inconsistent even when you clearly land the first hits on your screen.
This behavior suggests potential problems with the server tick rate, client synchronization, or lag compensation system. It feels like the server handles stationary players more accurately than moving ones, which shouldn’t happen in a modern FPS.
I can rule out my own connection as the cause (stable fiber internet, low ping, zero packet loss). This points to a server-side or engine-level issue rather than a local one.
It’s a shame, because the game itself has great potential — but the inconsistent hit registration really kills the fun. I’m honestly surprised there isn’t more discussion about these server or synchronization problems.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues, or found any technical explanation for this behavior?
