Portal Problem(s) and Godot Map Editor

When creating a custom game from the Portal BF6 site after i "save" and not "publish" the map i then find it from within BF6 Community > My Experiences.

i start the game and i fall through the map.

sometimes in different maps i create with portal will load but i dont have any vehicles icons i can select at Map Screen when i redeploy.

why is this?

 

on Godot map editor that is in the BF6 PortalSDK it loads fine but when i open scene of the included "Levels" i just see alot of polygon triangles on the screen (most) of the time.

its really difficult to move mouse and see level with all these triangles and polygons in my Godot Vieport.

  • You need to switch to DX12 if you are using an AMD graphic card, go in Project settings, change to advanced and go into Rendering Device, then switch from Vulkan to DX12

  • You're falling through the map because you don't have a "floor" tile\object and \ or your spawns are below or misplaced below the floor.

    I don't know this guy, but this is how I learned to do it correctly.
