Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
Since the Battlefield 6 update on 28 October 2025, the game has become completely unplayable due to repeated GPU driver crashes and version conflicts.
System specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
Driver versions tested: 537.58 (older) and 581.57 (latest)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 C18 2x16GB
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Issue:
Every time I search for a match, the game crashes.
With driver 581.57, I get a DirectX error:
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED / DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands.")
With driver 537.58, the game doesn’t launch and gives this error:
"Detected NVIDIA GeForce driver version 537.58. The required driver version is 576.88 or later."
This started right after the October 28 update. Before that, the game worked fine.
What I have tried:
Clean reinstall of GPU drivers using DDU
Reinstalling the game
Repairing game files via EA App
Updating DirectX and Windows
None of these helped. The game either crashes mid-load or refuses to start.

This issue has made Battlefield 6 completely unplayable. It seems to be a compatibility problem between the latest game update and recent NVIDIA drivers.
Would really appreciate any official acknowledgment or workaround.
