During the weekend I was unable to use the UAV as Recon. I was able to unlock it several times while getting squad points doing objectives but I'm unable to use it because it is no longer bound by a key (used to be number 6 key). It no longer tells you the key bind and when I try to set a key bind it is not listed under infantry/vehicle key binds. Was the UAV disabled on purpose?

I have the same issue. 6 is not bound anywhere in the controls and I can't activate the UAV
I've been having this issue since launch as well. It's still bound to 6 by default and it will randomly "work" sometimes, but even when I've gotten the animation to play (which is broken most of the time), the UAV itself doesn't actually spawn. I think I've seen one in the air exactly once, and it had all kinds of horrible graphical artifacts. The call-in function is just not working correctly in general. I've had similar issues with other kits.
Im playing on PC using a controller and the L2+R2 prompt does nothing when pressed even though the UAV box has filled up and a prompt has appeared.
I have the same issue on the PS5. I can’t use any gadgets in battle royal - they require me to press L2 + R2 simultaneously. The buttons work completely fine.
Is there any fix or workaround for it ?
