Steam Season 2 Battlefield Pro Instantly Applies Tier Skips

I had not played Season 2 at all prior to this purchase. When I bought the S2 Pro Battle Pass through Steam, the tier skips were automatically applied the moment I logged into the game. I was never presented with an opportunity to choose which progression path the skips would apply to.

I specifically intended to progress the Woodland Rangers path in order to unlock the new assault rifle in time for the double XP weekend. Instead, the skips were applied to a different path without any confirmation or selection step.

I opened a support ticket with EA to have this corrected. They stated they could not reverse or reallocate the tier skips and would only open a bug report. I can find multiple threads where this same issue was widely reported by Pro players during Season 1, yet it remains unresolved.

It is deceptive and misleading to sell tier skips while advertising a pass that players can choose their own path! I am extremely frustrated and I don't know why I continue to engage with and support this game.
