Unable to play due to connection timeout error (PC)
Hello. I have tried several times over the past week to play BF6 multiplayer, but so far I have been unsuccessful. Every time I join a game, I get an error that states "Your session timed out due to inactivity, and you've been disconnected."
The timing of the error isn't exactly consistent. Sometimes, it happens while trying to load into the game. Other times, I am able to load into the game and play for a few seconds before the game clearly loses connection (i.e. players floating in the air) followed shortly by the error mentioned above.
I purchased the game through Steam. I was able to play the Beta without any issues, though I believe that was through the EA app. Would I have better luck purchasing the game through the EA app instead?
Here is what I have tried so far to resolve the issue:
- Verified integrity of game files.
- Reinstalled the game.
- Disabled anti-virus.
- Disabled NVIDIA overlay.
- Disabled Steam overlay.
- Port forwarding.
- Ran as administrator.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is there any solution? At this point, I am convinced that this is a game issue and not an issue on my end.
