Wrong Servers consistently

Hello,

I've seen EA has built BO6 with availability prioritization servers however it doesn't make sense to me how I keep connecting to EU servers on my PC.

My location is in Canada, and I'm pretty sure there are North American servers available to play on. I've changed my DNS to google and even used VPN to force the game to ping US servers with no avail. I'm tired of the lag and the jitters and insane ping values, has this issue been fixed or has there been a resolution to this?

I've done practically all the steps other users have mentioned that worked for them however with no luck. 
Can anyone help? at this point I may as well play Call of duty...
