Activation code not valid

Hello, years ago I bought Battlefield 3. Box version with 2 CDs and code. I bought it in a store. Years later Im still not able to activate the game with the code I received with the game. The message I get everytime i try to activate says. "The product code you entered is not valid. Please re-enter the code." The code I enter is exactly the same I have on paper. I tried it hundred of times. I tried to activate it in client and on website aswell. I even bought Battlefield 3 Premium with it and it all went to waste. If someone knows what to do, please, go ahead. Thanks...

  • @Battlesatan44 well, depending on the platform you on maybe the code needs to be entered a different way as you did it. Maybe it needs a "-" inbetween certain letters, or actually be without any "-" inbetween when entering.

Or a other thing that might be your case actually is that the code was either invalid at all (but i don't think so, if new from an official shop) but it might be expired after such a long time after release.

And as you said in your case that you got it by Disc via a shop, i think actually the shop would be your point of contact to go to and talk to them what to so now. If they have to provide you a new code if possible, or they say it's your fault as it expired after a period of time.

I don't think EA can or will do anything about it if you bought the Disc version from any other shop.

  • @Battlesatan44 Was the CD a new or used CD? If it was new you should speak with a Game Advisor at help.ea.com if it was used then the CD is no good as keys once redeemed are forever connected to the redeeming Origin account.

That would be interesting to know, if it was a used game or a now one.

If used then for sure the code was redeemed already. 🤨

@piggywiggy222222 so you can install the game but just the Premium pass code is not working?

Is it a new purchased game Disc or you bought it as a used one?

Yes first time install I can install origin then it asks for the code there are two sets of codes on the CD case insert I have used both and the response is code has already been redeemed. I bought the game years ago it had never been opened.

Just thought it would be fun to have on the PC but alas it's not to be.... Anyone want two cds?

@piggywiggy222222 So did it accept the code the first time you entered the code? If not then you'll need to contact a Game Advisor so he can audit the code.  You can contact a game advisor at help.ea.com

If the codes were accepted then the game should be visible in your Origin account's game library and you right click the BF3 tile to download the game and after installation right click the tile, select 'show game details' then download all of the DLC covered by Premium.
