I am having the same issue.
i5 6600K
GTX 1080
8GB RAM
I can confirm that this is only happening for trial users. My friend bought the game today so I asked him to log into his account on my PC.
There was a small update to install but then I was able to load and play the game as you would expect.
Great, my install is fine. Logged back into my account with Trial access, exact same issue as before, does not load MP games, just closes to desktop with no error.
This is really shady EA, I still have around 8 hours of play time. I was going to buy once the time was up, but it seems I have to buy the game now.

I've got Origin Access for other games, but a friend has BF1 but he's not super enthusiastic about it - so I decided to use my trial version, so we could play together and see if it was more fun than playing solo.
Single-player was kinda cool, but I'd be buying this game for multi-player.
Crash to desktop.... launch, crash to desktop.... launch... crash to desktop. Multiplayer doesn't work.
Nope - not buying it.

Its only an issue for trial. Full version shouldn't have that issue.
- Anonymous10 years agoJust a heads up. This is a "trial" issue.
Wasted 3 hours of my trial jumping through ea/origins online chat hoops.
Several "chat" operatives have said they will credit my account with lost trial hours. Has not happened yet nearly a week later!
After the case was escalated to their "specialists" i was led on even more of a wild goose chase and told i should "just buy the game"
Sort it out ea!!! Ill not be buying the game now even if you do fix it all!!!
