Battlefield 3 - PC crashes/freezes and battlelog shows 'TRANSITIONING'
The issue:
When I play BF3 on my PC, the game freezes all of a sudden with a brief sound loop. When I go to my battlelog, it just shows 'TRANSITIONING'. When I try to close the game it says that it could not connect to EA and asks me to close the game via Task Manager. Ever since I bought the game, I haven't really completed any matches. I have tried all the fixes mentioned below, but the game won't work.
Specs:
- 6GB RAM
- 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 525M
- i7 Quad Core 2.90Ghz
Browsers tried:
- Chrome Stable
- Chrome Dev
- Firefox Stable
- Firefox Aurora
- Nightly
- IE
- Safari
Connection speed:
- 2Mbps
Fixes tried:
- Tried stopping and starting uPnP service
- Repairing the game
- A fresh installation of windows 7
- Disabling/enabling sound cards
- Reinstalling Punkbuster
- Disabling/Enabling origin in game
- Reinstalling DirectX
- Updating all my drivers (Windows, RealTek, Router)
My frustration:
When I clearly explain my problem to EA via phone, they either put me on hold for hours or they hang up on me. With frustration I ranted on twitter (as any human would do) and now they blocked my twitter account. I'm penning down this thread controlling my rage and anger on EA and the way they treat gamers like me. I really love playing Battlefield 3 after a day of tiresome work... But on seeing the way EA bilking me, I am so frustrated to play the game anymore.
Help:
If you happen to know any workaround or solution for this 'TRANSITIONING' issue please help me.
