Battlefield 3 code has already been used

Im having trouble redeeming my battlefield 3 code.

I enter the code when asked but it says ...

This code has already been used?

Is this to do with me logging in with a new Origin account?

I had to make a new origin account as i have forgotten the original account id and password (I asked it to resend my password to the original email address but recieved nothing).

Any assistance would be gratefully accepted

    That is def the issue. If you used your pass on another account. Its perm linked to that account. Best thing would be contact support and they may be able to help you out with a new one.
