Battlefield 3 FPS Issue

I just wanted to play BF3 again but every time I join in Multiplayer I get the same issue.

 

I have 20 FPS at max and already found the issue:

"Render.PerfOverlayEnable true"

After I set that to "false" I got 200 FPS in Menu and 110-150 Ingame

 

BUT every time when I die or join back in the fight that Option turns back to "true"

 

I even made a User.cfg File with "Render.PerfOverlayEnable false" but that just fixes the issue until i spawn the first time and then I have to disable it over and over again

In the User.cfg it stays at false (or 0 in that case) and I have no idea how to prevent that from changing every time I die or respawn.

    I already tried to repair my game

    Did not help

    I have

    i7-4790k

    GTX 1070ti

    latest Windows Update and latest NVidia Driver

    @leabdd okay, I am a Austrian player (also speaking german and try a good english), ahm i can say u some steps that helped on the german Forum.


    1. try to update all ure drivers
    2. try to update your DirectX
    3. Graphic Card updates?
    4. NVidia or AMD? U must have an programm where u can go into the NVidia or AMD programm where you can add your game because the newer graphics cards CAN see the old games as 2d models rather than 3d
    5.Try to disable the "Origin in the Game"
    Step 1. U must go to Origin
    Step 2. U must go on application settings
    Step 3. Go on More and disable Origin in Game.
    6. Try the game as administrator
    7. Download a programm from Microsoft where u can make an System file check. http://support.microsoft.com/de-de/kb/290301 (have that only in german SORRY!)
    8. try an FPS Booster (they are allowed on Battlefield 3)
    9. Try it on an other Pc or Laptop when that all not helped! We have to see if it is the game or one of your programs
    10. When u have played it on another PC or Laptop go to oure regulare PC and try it in windows mode,
    11. Make a clean restart from youre System and try to aktivate all ure programms step by step. It can be that some programm conflicts with the game 🙂.


    When something helped please report it to me and the same when it not helped I try to find de solution then!

    @Aloisdidnothing haha I am from Germany but I hoped that i can get more help in the english forum.

    I had this issue in the past (6 months ago I think) and reinstalled the game yesterday.

    1. all my drivers are on the latest update

    2. DirectX on latest update

    3. Graphics Driver also

    4. I tried before but it didn't help

    5. I already disabled Origin in Game, the Discord Overlay and NVidia Shadowplay

    6. didn't help

    7. the link send me to the 404 site from Microsoft but I tried the "sfc /scannow" command and it didn't found anything wrong

    8. I searched for such a program but didn't find on

    9. Friends of mine can play it without problems and installed it yesterday as well

    10. I tried, didn't help

    11. I tried that yesterday and it didn't work, but when I tried now it did work for some reason

    So I just started my PC and checked if it works now and it did

    The only thing is that the Render.PerfOverlayEnable option always turns true when I die and or change something in the options that was the problem yesterday to but now it only takes my FPS from 150-200 with it disabled to 100-140 when it enables it after every death.

    If you don't know the commands Render.PerfOverlayEnable shows you what setting it has at that moment and if you add 0 (false) or 1 (true) you disable or enable it.

    @leabdd Nice to see an neighbour here haha... okay thats wierd... I have no solution for that in the moment and I don't know how to start this haha that can take a while because I am working in the Week and I am out on the Weekend haha.

    But u have smaller fps drops and have no problems with lagging or something?

    @Aloisdidnothing I just tested that I delete the BF3 folder at Documents and get a new one, but unfortunately that didn't solve the problem either.

    Luckily I can at least play now, but it would be nice to know why the option always activates automatically.
    My FPS is now so constantly above 60 and my monitor is only 60Hz anyway.

    Before today it felt like with that option activated my FPS were locked to 18 FPS.

    And I have no idea why I suddenly, without doing anything different, have 100FPS +.

    @leabdd bruh... yeah i see what I can do but some other thing haha, when u search some to play here I would play for sure when u need one xd. In this time i search problems haha...

    @Aloisdidnothing Thanks for asking but I have a group of 2 friends and sometimes others, we mostly play BFV and I haven't played BF3 since 2014 (just once in 2019 with that problem) and decided that I wanted to find a solution because I found nothing on the internet and maybe someone has that problem too and this thread can help them.

    @leabdd no problem I search for this problem and when I have something then I send that to u... but I can't guarantee anything. Because on other problems I search 1 Month and I don`t find anything ^^

    improve from 70 to 120FPS (2K 144hz, UltraHigh)
