Battlefield 3 multiplayer isn't running properly with more than 2 pc's

Hello,

We've got battlefield 3 with 3 seperate accounts on 3 different pc's, we're able to play 2 player online with any pc however when the third pc tries to connect one others will get disconnected.

We've tried changing our ports using the regedit clientport technique.

We've tried turning upnp off on all machines and on the router and still had no luck.

anyone have any idea how we can get this working??

Regards

Alec

  • Hi there Alec!

There are too much running at your internet port at the same time, that's why it get disconnected. To solve this problem you guys can just create a local private server using only minimum space on your route. Once created, all of you need to connect to the server then you guys can play at the same time without any problem at all.

Thanks for your reply but I don't think we could do that or if thats even possible. i'd like to hear how you could though.

Also why would we all want to play on just a private server. the point is we want to team up together online against others.

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

  • Hi again!

No, you will play on a local server, not a private. You can easy set up a local server. Search on google after 😕et_up_locals_server. This will use the minimum of your internet connection and you will lose lagg and other problems.

private or local, if this was possible surely i'd only be able to play with people in this household not over the internet.

I've searched for what you said and no results on this. I doubt it can be done if so please provide the instructions or a link to maybe? otherwise it sounds as though your clutching at straws.

sounds like you mean setting up your own server but not sure I can do this unless EA is getting something for it. EA charge to host servers, We merely wish to join someone elses.

Wish someone would get back to me on live chat or from EA directly. EA customer service is rubbish it seems.

    Can anyone help?

    regards

  • It looks to be somewhat server related. we now have 3 pc's running from one connection on the same server but cannot get the forth connected.

  • Hi again!

If you couldn't find a local server to set up on your router, then you will have to use a switch. Cause the reason you can't run it properly is because there are so much going on in your router that you can't use so many PC's at the same time. Another  way is to close parts of your firewall. This will let more traffic in to your router.

Report back if you have more questions about this.
