Battlefield 3 premium redemption code and too young

You are too yong, that is clear enough.

You should be at least 16 years to play this game.

    my husband and son bought the game to play.  Husband is 50 son is 17.  We have had our xbox for 3 years.  what is it that determines either is too young to play?
