Battlefield 3 Servers constantly kicking me w/ Punkbuster error

over the past 2 days i have had some time off work. in my lazy way i sat there for most of the days in my undies playing bf3 and noticed a minimum of 2 players per round kicked for this very reason.

as far as i know there may be something wrong with your punk buster.

have you tried updating it?

or even uninstalling it completely and reinstalling?

these are just a couple of tips i had seen else where.

it is pretty sad. first people getting kicked left and right for cheat o meter bs and now this.

I was under the impression that Punkbuster was something that existed soley on the server side that would monitor clients.  I'm not hosting my own servers, so I wouldn't have thought to try that.  However, I do see that "Punkbuster services" is listed in Programs and Features, so I'll try uninstalling and post results when I get a chance.

punkbuster exists on your own pc also (its installed with the game)

sometimes punkbuster for some reason does not get auto updated

I've been getting the same error (except it was C2.317) and I already tried reinstalling punkbuster but I still get kicked within minutes.  Any thing else that might solve the problem? My friend read on some other forum that you should completely reinstall BF3 but I would prefer not to have to do that since it's a very large game. Me and 2 or 3 others friends decided to play BF3 recently and all of us were getting kicked.  

Well I successfully uninstalled punkbuster, but it seems that everything on evenbalance.com that can be download is meant only to update punkbuster, and not to install it.  I tried running the origin "repair install" option but that did nothing.  I am now getting a new error:

Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'TrueEpic' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe

Presumably, this is because punkbuster now fails to exist on my computer.

Steps I have taken:

1. Uninstalled punkbuster via the windows "programs and features" utility

2. Downloaded this: http://websec.evenbalance.com/downloader/download.php?file=1 and added Battlefield 3 to it

3. Downloaded this: http://evenbalance.com/downloads/bf3/pbsec.htm and put it at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\pb\htm

4. Used the origin "Repair Installation" utility

5. Restarted browser

6. Restarted computer

Bull **bleep** punk buster still kick you
