Check other topics regarding our language problem, one of the people from EA staff is just using copy/paste function and "solves" those topics. He says:
"We are seeing a rising amount of contacts regarding Russian and Polish players wanting to exchange their Russian/Polish version of Battlefield 4 for an English copy of the game. This copy of the game that these players have purchased costs less than the English version, it does not have an English language track included on the install and this is working as intended. As such, you should under no circumstance exchange a Russian copy of the game for an English copy of the game."
I guess we just got f****d and now we have to play polish/russian bf4 or spend more money on the same game BUT with english language, this is just pathetic. PATHETIC! If they're so greedy why won't they give us the option to buy English language pack dlc for 10$ or something like that...
I've tried everything. I've called EA Polish center twice, I've wrote to them(few times) I used EALiveChat six or seven times. I've been writing on battlelog forums, Ea/DICE twitters, facebooks, youtube. I've also tried to change the language of the game manually but there is no way beside using cracked .exe which I won't do because I don't want to get banned.
Every answer I got was - Buy a new game.
Just great.

For me this sounds like "You paid less, then play the game that is worse than the more expensive english one."
If we think further (extrapolate the localization problems) in BF5 the Russian/Polish version will have models and textures made not by DICE but by **bleep**ty Rus/Pol developers (just like now the Russian version kills all the single player story experience by awful and miscasted "voices" and wrong translation of in-game texts).
So in BF6 we (in RU/POL) will pay only for name "Battlefield 6" but the rest of the our region's game version will be poorly made in our region.
It's so bad and unfair but I don't see what can we do. Seems that in the end i'll use this cracked files and stuff

A different price depending on a language pack is just wrong. Especially if the product is sold online worldwide.
I was really considering premium pass purchase until the language issue. Not that I'm threatening EA 🙂 because they don't give a sh!t about me but it's still saddening that this is the way they fight region difference pirates. If the language issue isn't solved than I thin I'll get back to CS:GO 🙂 and skip BF4 altogether. I love my national language but hearing it in the game while on the chinese side is irritating :/

Just to be clear guys. BF 4 version bought in Poland is not cheaper than US one. It is around 58 USD ,as it is on current exchange rate. Cheaper in some online stores dropping to 54$, which is more than you need to pay for example in Green Man Gaming. I cannot say for russian pricing.
Being blunt I do not care how much EA Rus charges for games and I see no reason why I shoul dbe punished for it.
And yes I am Polish.
This "issue" is just ridiculous.
Hi,
Supposing I have a friend with English version of BF4.
Can I use his discs and my CDkey from boxed Polish/Rus version and play eng version of the game??
Does that work ??
Is that legal ??
me too
temporary fix is using english localization files + registry fix + "outcome" (http://outcome.nofate.me/) software instead of origin. Works for me.
I'm a polish ORIGIN user and was really looking forward to give BF4 a try after all the good times that I had with BF3, but the whole locked region thing is a major turn off for me, mostly due to the poor localization. Saw the polish version on my friends PC and the voice actors are just horrible, not to mention the botched translation. Some things just should be left untouched/unaltered. Even worse is that there's no possibility to buy a english version directly from ORIGIN, so instead of getting the game from an official source or retailer I'm forced to search for crummy websites selling EU/ROW keys!
I can understand that EA is trying to stop people from exploiting the whole price difference thing and selling cheaper CDkeys because it's not good for their business, but why are we legit paying customers being punished for this? Saying that we shouldn't be playing the english version because we paid less is just horrible, especially comming from a community manager. Yes we pay aprox. 130-150 polish zloty for the game which is around 30 euros or 44 dollars, but considering our economic situation and our salaries, for us that's basically the equivalent of a 60 bucks game purchase compared to western countries. It's really disappointing that we are being treated by EA and their support staff like second grade customers. If EA keeps this up they're not only going to be titled the worst company in the US again, but soon also the worst company in the world.
