Please see the followign article for more information on this error (BF3 yet still relevant) : http://help.ea.com/en/article/my-profile-save-data-for-battlefield-3-is-damaged-or-corrupted-what-can-i-do/
Please note that deleting your Profile Save Data will also delete all progress in Campaign as the Campaign Save Data is included in this deletion.

For some people it worked. I exhausted their fixes and they had to have "Experts" undo it. Logged on this morning and they actually fixed it.
- Anonymous12 years agoGood advice and it worked once. I did this about 3 hrs ago, played for a little while, then shutdown the xbox. Started back up a few hours later and receive the same message. Very, Very frustrating. Glad I didn't pay the $50 for the premium add on and now definitely won't be buying it if this has been an issue without resolution since BF3. With this many complaints across multiple versions of the same game (BF3, BF4), how is this not a high priority?
I may have found a temporary solution to this issue.
Delete your save profile data, and clear cache.
Start the game, and go through your usual setup stuff like you've been doing.
Exit the game. Insert a USB thumb drive. Copy the newly created player profile onto the USB drive. Do not move the profile. Make a copy, and place one on the USB thumb drive.
Start the game. Select your main Xbox 360 HD (NOT the USB drive), and off ya go. This also works (for me at least) after having the console powered off overnight.
Using this method I have not had the error come up. I have noticed that I must still make adjustments to my vehicle settings but, all my player settings have remained in tact. Also, I've had no more freezing, no more spawning without weapons, and no more loading to a black screen that does nothing.

There's unfortunately no way to fix the damaged corrupted profile but you can simply delete it and re-download it. Please follow the instructions below to safely delete the profile and then download it again.
Delete Profile Safely:
- Go to Settings, and then select System.
- Select Storage.
- Select All Devices.
- Select Gamer Profiles.
- Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
- Select one of the following:
- Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements. > This is what you'd want to pick.
- Select Delete Profile and Items to delete the profile and the associated saved games and achievements.
Download Profile Again:
- Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).
- Select Download Profile.
- Enter the Windows Live ID associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
- Now, enter your Windows Live ID password.
- Select the storage device for your profile (for example, Hard Drive).
Your profile should begin downloading now.
Now if that didn't work "like for me" try this: Delete Profile and Items
- Go to Settings, and then select System.
- Select Storage.
- Select All Devices.
- Select Gamer Profiles.
- Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
- Select the following
Delete Profile and Items. NOTE: you may wnat save any campign saved games such as; Skyrim, Fallout, and any other game with campaign to a flashdrive or create a offline account profile such as one meant for playing offline and move all game saved data to that profile. If you don't follow these instructions you could lose all campaign related saved data.
Your profile should begin downloading now

Ima getting all the same plus, I get into a server, play about 30 sec, and get "disc unreadable"
- What?!?! Why would you post that? The issue has nothing to do with your gamertag or Xbox profile. This is a battlefield 4/EA/dice/player profile data issue. Not that deleting and redownloading your xbox live player profile will hurt...it simply won't help. Your wasting people's time.
Players: make a copy of your profile before you turn your 360 off and save it to a usb thumb drive or cloud. Follow the instructions in my other post. - Anonymous12 years agoBut isn't it over writing the save profile data anyway? I lose my save file everytime even when signed on downloaded the second assault game update logged off then went back to download map pack, didn't play the game but it still corrupted from just stating the game closing it and starting again
- Anonymous12 years agoI have to completely agree with the level of frustration I'm finding with this issue. I'm incredibly glad I didn't spend an extra $50 to get premium. In fact, I might have never purchased this game if I knew I'd be hitting so many problems. I have to go reset all of my settings and calibrations every time I start up my Xbox. then I get into games and have to deal with distracting HUD pop-ups about how to turn off my laser sight, etc etc etc. Great work creating a game that's well worth the money.
