Battlefield Companion App - 2024
To EA & DICE,
Recently I attempted to use the Battlefield Companion App, but learned that it had been discontinued. Will we ever receive another Battlefield Companion App? This app was very helpful for adjusting loadouts, checking stats, and viewing assignments, etc.
If EA were to create another Battlefield Companion App, including the following would make it extremely worthwhile:
1. Include Battlefield 3, 4, Hardline, 1, V, and 2042 in the app. Players would just have to select the particular game, and then could view the following stats below.
2. Have a way for players to connect with each other through a friends list. Due to players being on different platforms, i.e. PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, maybe have a specific Battlefield Companion App Friends List. Unless it is possible for players to choose what platform they primarily use, and then sync their friends list with those platforms. Also, for those who have an account and play the same Battlefield game on PC and PS5, for example, there would be a way to view their separate stats for each platform, as long as they select all the platforms they use
3. The app should include achievements/trophies for the games, where they sync from PC/PS/XB. This way people can track them a bit easier. Also, include the dates and timestamps the achievements/trophies were earned.
4. The app should include the ability to view the players rank, weapon stats, how many kills/deaths, whether campaign missions were completed, their unlocks, awards (badges, ribbons, and medals) and how many of each, assignments in game and their status, how many multiplayer maps played on and the dates the player played them, as well as a list of the players who were on those maps during that particular session, and the ability to adjust the load outs. This way after adjusting them on the app, players are ready to go before the session begins. Also show vehicle use, time in vehicles, stationary weapons, and classes. Show hours spent on each team and map, as well. Include Battlefield Crates too, like in BF4 and BF1.
5. Allow communication between players, as well as developers, through the app.
6. Have special unlocks for weapons, dog tags, XP, and badges/ribbons/medals for players who complete Battlefield Companion App Assignments. These would be exclusive through the app, and would then unlock and be available in-game. Example: if players completed a community assignment where they had to login daily, or something in particular, helping others in the app, etc., it would unlock a dog tag that they could show off in-game.
7. Implement a Battlefield Companion App rank separate from the other games. Include XP which would be rewarded by logging into the app daily, monthly, and yearly, helping others on forums or posts through the app, completing in-game assignments tracked through the app, etc.
8. Make it compatible for Steam and EA Play users. Easier connectivity for friends. Show an elistment date for the Battlefield Companion App, which would show how long the players have been using the app when they signed-up for the app.
9. Update the app periodically so it is a better experience for users on different types of phones. Make it available on PC/PS/XB.
10. Allow players to add friends through the app, if they were to click on another players' name. Then they could view each others stats through the app.
This is a suggestion to bring the Battlefield Companion App back. It was awesome and helpful. I really hope you decide to bring this back, and take this into consideration. I guarantee that most, if not all, Battlefield players would use it.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
