BF 3 for Ps3 video problems

So my son broke the hdmi output on our ps3 so I bought the component cables. after the change over the ps screen was blurry and zoomed in. after changing some settings we were  able to get hd back and he played cod black ops 2 (his taste, not mine) in HD. Now the PS3 screens are in HD but BF3 is all zoomed in and blurry. I put cod in and it looks fine but when I switched back to BF3 it was low def again.. Any solutions? help double xp weekend!
