BF1 and BFV crashing within 10s of start up
Everything worked fine until about a month ago. Now, whenever I start up BF1 or BF5, it freezes within 10 seconds. Once it freezes, it creates a buzzing noise, and I have to do a hard restart because my whole laptop locks up.
I read a tonne of other discussion posts, and it seems like everyone is relating similar issues to the EA anti-cheat. I have worked on all the suggested solutions, and nothing has helped. Some solutions I have tried are basically all on this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1goGPBG2Yfo. The only thing I haven't really tried to do is the clean boot and reinstall Windows. Honestly just seems like a hassle and time-consuming. I feel like I am just missing something else.
I've also tried swapping power modes and all the other suggestions that people have come up with for the EA anticheat. Like I said, everything was fine for months before, and all of a sudden, overnight, these issues started happening. All I can think of is that I was playing, then Nvidia released a GeForce game-ready update on April 30th and after I couldn't play. But I tried rolling back the driver all the way to December, and it's just the same issue.
This only happens on BF1 and BF5, but I can run other CPU/GPU-intensive games with no issues. Not really sure what else to do at this point
