I just want to say something to the developers, and yes, it's positive. Hope they will read this. Since the last update BF1 is stable as a rock! The update before this one **** something up. I had regular "BF1.exe stopped working" crashes in W10 1607 (sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after 2 hours), and nothing on my system changed except the update of BF1 (W10 updates are disabled through GPO). I am using a Ryzen 1800X CPU and a 1080 Ti graphics card with the lastest drivers installed. I tried different kind of things to fix it, but suspected it was just a ****-up in the code somewhere, because nothing on my system had changed. The developers probably know what they fixed, so thanks and continue the good work.

It's still crashing for Ryzen users and will still be crashing, as it's happening on the Insider Preview builds, the ones that regular users will be getting in the near future. They either don't know how to fix it, are fixing it, or don't care about it. I hope it's the second one, of course. There are "workarounds" that are pretty much a hit or miss. Like, the game can work for a week, and then start crashing again. I just lost an entire game worth of xp and missions, in fact. So, yeah.

  • Well it's fine over here now, and i am still on 1607 because people (on the nvidia forum) say it's the best experience, and trouble can be starting in W10 versions after that one.

And you shouldn't lose anything, as it's synching to the cloud. Only thing is that you lose your position in the current match, if it crashes.

But so, you have the same problem, only in W10 1803 / Insider Preview? They seem to have fixed something in the latest BF1 update, as in 1607 it's stable now.

    Hello,

I don't know if this will relate to your problem or not but it worked for me.

    I have a Intel build  I3-7350K and 16GB 3200Mhz DDR4, GTX1050 video card.

If you are constantly updating your video drivers , the Registry files get corrupted over time. You can try to uninstall all the video drivers by using something like. DDU Uninstaller. Then install the most recent driver for your card manually from the MFG website.  Sometimes you might have to download a prior version of software / driver for it to work correctly.

Second thing is are you overclocking anything?

Since I run a Duo Core processor I have been overclocking everything to play this game.    My specific chip only supports ram up to 2400Mhz, Now I have 3200 mhz and with out overclocking the ram manually windows will run my ram at 2400 Mhz because of the chip support.  When I  implemented my overclock I found that my CPU frequency could not keep up with the Ram frequency so it would shut down the game with the same error you had.

I stepped up my Core clocks on my CPU so i could turn up the frequency on my ram and voila it was fixed.  Presently 4.7Mhz 1.39vdc and ram is at 3200Mhz. Hope this helps.

You could try to remove a stick of ram and see if you have any issues, I assume you at least have 16 if you have 8 obviously don't pull the ram stick.

  • Its completely useless to ask ANYTHING from these EA moderators because they dont know anything anyway and the fault is theirs by the way and not yours like they "try" to help you fix the game while you cannot because obviously you cant access the source files, so here flipping bird for EA and thanks for nothing yet again oh and not buying V before these problems have been solved in the older titles because they might be present in the new ones!
