BF3 lag spikes and crash

Recently i decided to install bf3 again. Now the problem is that there are really bad lag spikes and its unplayable.Note that I didn't have that problem before.I tried the command GameTime.MaxVariableFps 30 which kinda fixed it but there are still lag spikes.I have one more problem, the game crashed several times and it shows some kind of error(I can't seem to find where to upload an image though).I am with a laptop lenovo y570

    Hello, bgpiklioto.

I have checked out the specifications of your laptop model and I would like to let you know that they are not that good enough to handle anything above "High". As for your frame drops, make sure that your CPU, GPU and fan doesn't overheat. The frame drops are mostly related to overheat as far as I know.

The current hardware you possess has more than enough power to run the game at Medium settings at pretty decent frames.

Please try to control the overheat and reduce it as much as you can. One more tip, buy a cooler stand for your laptop.

Additionally, you could update your drivers and that might fix the problem as well.

If this post was helpful for you, please add +XP. =)

  • Yes i do have a laptop cooler.I am running the game at auto setting and getting prety decent fps.As I already said updating drivers fixed the problem.Anyone with the same problem should def try to update them.
