BF4 fails to start since latest patch/Battlelog maintenance

Yesterday I could play just fine, but today after the patch and/or Battlelog maintenance I can't join any servers or even start the test range.

Apperantly BF4.exe crashes as soon as it starts and I get these logs in event viewer:

    Workaround:

    1) Navigate to BF4 installation directory (DEFAULT IS): C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\
    2) Locate BF4.exe > Right Click > Properties
    3) Goto compatibility tab
    4) (this should be checked!) Check Compatibility: Run this program in compatibility mode for:
    5) Select Windows 7 from drop down.
    6) Apply
    7) Should working now!

Ok, thanks. Will try when i get home. I have to say though, that I cant for my life understand how its even possible they release something that obviously doesnt work under windows 8/8.1. Or maybe its just if you use 64-bit or something.
