📝 Battlefield 6 — Missing Features & Community Feedback

🧭 PINGING SYSTEM

  • Players should have full manual control over pinging — no automatic pinging.
  • Players can ping freely, as often as needed.
  • Downed players can still ping enemies or objectives.
  • Automatic or “smart” pinging must never override manual input.

🪖 SQUAD LEADER SYSTEM

  • Squad leader should be clearly marked on HUD.
  • If inactive or not issuing orders, leadership auto-transfers to an active member.
  • Keeps objectives clear and the squad coordinated.

📡 SQUAD OBJECTIVE INTEGRATION

  • When a squad leader pings an objective, it shows at the top of the squad screen.
  • Following squad orders grants extra points.
  • Completing objectives together gives squad-wide XP bonuses and perks.
  • Lone-wolfing = fewer points, encouraging teamwork.
  • Capturing an objective as a full squad gives extra rewards.
  • Squad leaders can set objectives while inside vehicles (tanks, helis, transports, etc.) — no need to exit to command.

🗣️ DIALOG OPTIONS (QUICK COMMANDS)

  • Bring back a robust dialog wheel with dynamic, varied voice lines like:

“Go go go” | “Cover me” | “Stay quiet” | “Enemy tank” | “Fallback” | “Sniper” | “Danger ahead.”

  • Multiple variations keep the lines fresh, not robotic.
  • Fast comms = smoother squad coordination.

🎧 VOICE CHAT & COMMUNICATION

  • Online multiplayer voice chat is extremely loud by default. It needs audio balancing or a custom volume slider so players can adjust it themselves.
  • Make it clear that there are multiple voice channels, not just one.
  • Players should be able to:
  • Use squad chat for team coordination.
  • Use proximity chat to talk near their character in-game.
  • Use a walkie-talkie system to communicate with other squads or allies on the fly.
  • • This gives the battlefield more layers of communication, like a real tactical environment.

🌐 SERVER BROWSER

  • Full filtering by game type, rules, weapon restrictions, and settings.
  • Clear split between official DICE servers and community servers.
  • Gives players real choice instead of forced matchmaking.

🛠️ PORTAL MODE

  • Portal should be clearly labeled as user-generated content.
  • Needs its own server browser with filters and transparent info.
  • Make finding community creations simple and fast.

🕹️ GAME MODES & PLAYLISTS

  • All game modes should remain selectable, even with zero players online.
  • Players should be able to start lobbies themselves.
  • Toggle open or closed weapons in every mode.
  • Hardcore playlists must exist for every mode.
  • Add a “Full Rotation” playlist cycling through all modes and settings.

💼 LOADOUTS

  • Allow players to rename loadouts for different strategies.
  • Simple, personal, organized.

🏅 UNLOCKS & REWARDS

  • Items or perks unlocked should trigger clear notifications and highlighted visuals.
  • Add Ribbons for assisting, defending, attacking, squad play, and tactical contributions.
  • Ribbons should grant XP and feel earned mid-match — not just after.

✈️ TOO INFANTRY-FOCUSED

  • More vehicles and aircraft are needed to bring back classic combined-arms gameplay.
  • Vehicle and air dominance should matter strategically, not be background noise.

🏠 RENTED SERVERS & COMMUNITY SPACES

  • Rented servers let players build long-term communities, run events, and play with the same crew.
  • Many Battlefield friendships and clans were born here.
  • Removing or limiting them splits the player base.
  • Bring rented servers back as a core feature, not an afterthought.

🎮 OFFLINE GAMEPLAY

  • Allow all single-player content to be playable offline with zero internet connection.
  • Players should be able to access the campaign, training modes, and AI skirmishes anytime — even without online verification.
  • This ensures Battlefield stays playable and enjoyable long-term, no matter what happens to servers.

🎖️ LEVELING SYSTEM

  • Keep current XP progression but reward players more for playing Battlefield the right way — squads, objectives, coordination.
  • Avoid pushing players toward “COD-style” lone-wolf gameplay.

✅ SUMMARY:

These aren’t just quality-of-life tweaks — they’re the core identity of Battlefield.

Manual control, real squad play, vehicle balance, layered voice comms, offline accessibility, and community servers are what made the franchise legendary.

Bring these back sharper, louder, and smarter — and Battlefield 6 will thrive for years.
