BF4 on PS3 and Server unavailable - Workaround

I have had fair success in connecting to a server and remaining in that server by following these steps.  I hope they work for you.

1.  Login to battlelog.com - Create your account if you have not done so.

2.  Move your mouse over the MultiPlayer Menu, and choose the Server Browser from the drop down

3.  Sort by Ping Rate ( click the top of the column labeled Ping)

4.   Choose a server of your game type (Conquest, Team Deathmatch, etc.) that has a Ping time in it.  Avoid those servers that have no ping response as they are offline.

This simple process works for me about 90% of the time.   If you leave the server, repeat the process to find another server that is responding with a Ping time.

For EA / Dice support folks, this sounds like a simple switch issue.  Replace the switches on the server farm.
