BF4 PS4 rubberbanding and network issues (detailed report)

I have tried pretty much everything I know but still struggle with network performance issues and choppy, rubberbanding gameplay.

My setup:

PS4
ADSL connection, router/modem is Dlink DSL 2740B, firmware EU 2.02
speedtest.net gives me 11mbs download speed, 700kbps upload consistently
pingtest.net consistently gives perfect test results with 0% packet loss and class A performance
My ps4 is set in the DMZ of my router so firewall should not be an issue

In game, connected to a server my performance is choppy and the Options -> Settings -> R3 system performance test nearly always gives up to 10-15% outbound packet loss, 0-2% inbound and very low latency (0,03 - 0,3), and lowest (red) bar overall performance ”The network connection is having severe issues with packet loss.” I'm not seeing any of the somewhere mentioned packet loss or latency "warning icons" in game.

tried different routers - no difference
tried both cable and wifi connection - no difference

Tried different servers, games modes, quick match, browsed for servers with the best "connection" bars in the list - no difference.

No network performance issues with other games, PS3 BF3 works perfectly, never had issues.

What more can I do? Has this simply been identified as a netcode or ea/dice server problem? Many seem to suffer from similar problems. If so, where can I find an official statement about it?

Bonus question: even though PS4 is set in the router DMZ, the PS4 network settings still show it to be "NAT type 2". Why?

Thanks for any replies

"I Beleive most of the BF4 players on the next gen consoles are facing the "Packet Loss" issue".

In order to have "NAT Type 1" on your PS4, you need to follow these steps:

Since your setup perfect, I'll jump right to the important part.

Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection > Wi-Fi or LAN Cable "It's up to you here" > Custom > IP Address Settings choose "PPPoE".

Now you have to put your ISP "Internet Service Provider" user ID "Username"  and password.

It's exactly the same for me.  Perfect inet connection.. Every other game works flawlessly.  Just a broken, choppy, rubbery mess.  If i join any conquest or carrier assault, every 5-10 seconds my player "jitters" like a mini lag spike.  It's **bleep** unplayable.  I guess i'll try messing with my ps4 connection settings some more, but I know 100% that the problem is NOT on my end.  I make sure I only join games with 5 bar's connection status, the problem is still there.

Also any time im in a vehicle in a large map, if I move my aim in any direction, and wait 2 seconds, it jumps back at least 30 degrees.  Gaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbbbbbbbbbbbbbbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I should mention.. using the R3 test, it says I have 0.00 packet loss both ways, and 0.03 latency.  WTF

Yep.  I get 0% packet loss in and out, 0.03 ms latency v ia the system performance test.  And regardless, I start having rubber banding issues.  Uggggh... it's unplayable.  What a mess !!!

Any update on this? I'm still experiencing it. I signed off now because it's really bad; specially in Conquest large Lancang Dam. EA, what's going on?

I'm having the same problem.. I've spent over €250 on this game on different platforms, and it is now completely unplayable. This only occured after the winter patch. I'm unable to move most of the time and I'm like a sitting duck, it's incredibly frustrating and makes me wants to ***** throw my PS4 out the window.... Are EA doing anything about this?? Surely there's some fix in the pipeline, or a workaround?
