Black screen

So when i click join server in battlelog and jump in game i see only black screen, but hear loading music and afterwards battle sounds when the loading is done... seems i dont get visual for some reason... i played this game on this computer before and it only started happening after last patch... any ideas???

  • This is definately a region issue that happens if you bought one of the cheap russian keys that were not intended to be sold or used outside of russia. We have threads like this popping up at EVERY patch that DICE releases and it's always the same issue. Contact your retail store for more information on how to patch your game the right way.

    Step 1 : Download the 4th September Patch Fix - http://www.uploadmb.com/dw.php?id=1346844262 [uploadmb.com]
Step 2 : Unrar the archive, inside you will find 2 folders.
Step 3 : Copy the files from the 4th september patch fix folder (the .dll's and the update folder)
into your Battlefield 3 directory (Program Files > Origin Games > Battlefield 3)
Step 4 : When it asks you if you want to replace the current files, say yes to all of them.
Step 5 : Go back to the unrar'd folder and open up the BF3 Language Changer (as administrator).
Click EN (English) and click the activation button. The program will modify your registry so it would change itself to the EN.DLL's of the game.
Step 6 : You are ready to go,full game in english, with no internal bugs.

Are you playing the game in a different language then your Origin client langauge. If thats the case, it would cause different region patch to be installed on the game. To resolve this, set the same language for Origin and repair the game.

  • Can you give me more specific instructions, as to how to do this?

i suggest you right click on origin and go to its Properties” option Next select the “Compatibility” tab, and Select the “Run the Program in Compatibility Mode” option., and theres a drop down box if your running windows 7,  u should select windows 7 and at the bottom of this tab is a run as admin check box, check that aswell and hit apply and hit ok, then launch the game

Let me know if this works for you, if not i will see what else i can do to help you out,

    Best Of Luck

  • Nope... didn´t work... still i see only black screen, thou i hear everything...
