Blue screen of death every since BF4 has been released

hey yeah i get the same thig .. im also w8. i think it does it more when the maps change  
 it does not affect my single player tho ?

I just got the same issue on Windows 7.  I had been having hard locks with a black screen, and occaisionally needing to start task manager because the screen was frozen and nothing else (alt Tab, etc.) was working, but this was the first time since release that I got a blue screen error.  Nothing else on my machine causes this, so I have to blame it on BF4.

This is just a suggestion, but blue/red screens of death are often caused because of some sort of overheating issue.

While you may have specs that shouldn't overheat... there are a lot of bugs happening right now which could very well cause a GPU to act funky. I have heard of a memory leak-bug causing something like this

If you haven't tried already monitor your CPU/GPU usage and GPU Temp if you can.

If you notice that it is something related to this, unfortunately, you will have to wait until they fix things on their end. Because it isn't something on your end.

Although even if it isn't related to overheating the fact you can play the game as much as you can makes me think it is something on their end. Then again I don't have Win8 and I do not know your PC specs.

I'm getting bsod too, i've been monitoring temp and it never went over 63 c°

I've tried to reinstall old invidia drivers wich i know may cause problems to amd users but still getting bsod.

same issue happening to me now. Installd the game on Friday and had some fun times for a few days, then last night Monday i played a map and then i got a bsod stating Bad_Pool_Caller and rebooted my desktop but this only happening when a map had just finished and was loading a new one. Tried again and happened twice more at the map loading screen before I gave up on the thing.

A Blue Screen of Death has nothing whatsoever to do with temperature issues.  It is related to programming issues, and involve everything from execution of code in software, drivers and malicious code.  The primary cause in this case (according to reporting) is the BF4 program not playing well with many GPUs out there.  It is a programming issue on EA's part.  Unfortunately, EA has a historically nasty habit of releasing games without proper code in order to meet deadlines, and then does a very poor job of consistent patching after.

I have been working with computers for 28 years, own a computer repair and sales store and have been building computers since the early 90's.  I get BSOD's ALL THE TIME with bf4 now.

1) BSOD can happen in certain instances due to some hardware overheating.  Most cases RAM.

2) I have an FX-8350, 16GB RAM, 7 internal fans with Cooler Master V6 GT cpu heat sink, Asus M5A99X EVO 2.0 and a 560ti video card.

3) BIOS and all drivers are up to date.

4) I have even rolled back drivers to their earliest state, just to make sure it wasn't the driver

5) It runs at 21C to 22C idle and 28C to 29C running a game.  I have never had a BSOD on my system until BF4 was installed.

So every one needs to lay off the advice, unless you really know what you're talking about.  Especially since I am addressing some bad advice, ie (bsod can't happen due to overheating.)

The game is broken, it has been broke since they released it.  With every passing patch, it has not been fixed.  Most times it does happen during map switching.  Sometimes it happens right at the beginning of a new match, just as you hit deploy.  The grammar police can kiss off, no one cares and you're just trolling.

So having updated drivers, again, I'm still seeing the BPC error and considering that every single other game I own runs without so much as a disconnect issue, much less blue screening I am left with no other conclusion than BF4 is fundamentally broken and until it gets fixed I am not going to get to enjoy something I dumped 100 dollars into. Thanks for rushing out a busted product DICE. I want my money back.
