Can't use MK11 Mod O in B3P, appears as SVD in-game

I've been using the MK11 Mod O in Battlefield 3 Premium multiplayer since I got the game a couple weeks ago, and unlocked several things with it (scopes, all primary accessories, akk secondary accessories, etc). But I realized recently that when I'm playing, for some reason it recently started listing the SVD in-game when I'm picking my weapons. I've been unlocked SVD accessories for a while and couldn't figure out why...because the weird thing is that the SVD was locked!

Issue: I can no longer use my MK11 Mod 0 in-game, and in its place is the SVD, a weapon which I haven't unlocked yet but am still unlocked accessories for.

  • Starter weapons for each class are faction dependent so if you are playing US you can use the M16 but not the AK 74, and when you play Russia you can only use the AK74 and not the M16 until you get your first service star in that class, then you can use all weapons whenever you want with the exception of the SMAW\RPG and Stinger\IGLA which are always faction dependent.  This is the case with your MK11 and the SVD.

Thanks for the tip, very useful.

So why am I able to use the MK11 in the customize section and it doesnt show as locked, but the SVD does? Is it because I bought the premium version of the game, or is there another reason?

Are you talking about on the Battlelog website or in game?  In game if you are on the US side you'll be able to customize the MK11, and when you're on the Russian side you'll be able to customize the SVD, and if you are not in game but in the soldier customization menu you will be able to customize both weapons by switching your faction by clicking the "Y" or Triangle button.  When you switch factions in the soldier customization menu while not in game your soldier will change appearance from US to RU and you can cusotmize each faciton's weapons that way.

On the battlelog webiste under the loadout tab you will also be able to select both faction's weapons and customize them for your loadout, however when you spawn into a game only the faction appropriate weapon will be available.
