would it be possible to differentiate player icon in the map for friends? One of the pros of bf6 is being able to play with more than 3 other friends by inviting them to other squads. However, there’s no way to distinguish between friends and allies in the map

Why would you need to? So you, for example, would know who to revive first if you have two downed teammates in front of you?

Gotcha. I don't see the need myself but if it's in Battlefront then it shouldn't be impossible for them to put it in the coming game.
It would be handy. Friends and I usually lock our squad when playing because it's not so easy to differentiate each other from other squad members.
I don't see the harm in it so long as it can be toggled and or fine-tuned
Whilst not essential for me, it is a change that I would have absolutely no objection to.
While I personally wouldn't have much use for this (mostly play solo), I can definitely see lots of people welcoming this kind of option and can't think of too many downsides.
Op congratulations as you must have a lot of friends! It usually works for me to have my friends on my squad and have them outlined in green. I do play solo a lot though.
