I had this issue since i had installed Windows 10, then i updated my GPU drivers and it stopped crashing, but the game have such a bad performance that it's nearly implayable!!
I think the problem is windows 10 and sadly they haven't found a solution yet...at this point i think they never will. If you want to play battlefield 3 you have to step back to windows 7\8.

I have tried to play the game on WIndows 7 too (before I upgraded to 10) and the issue continued to occur. I also have tried the latest drivers and many different drivers from the past however I have had no success.
