Downloading battlefield 3

hey guys and girls,

about two weeks ago i tried to download aftermath, it siad it would take about three hours so i left it overnight. when i came back in the morning it was still downloding so, i watched it download and was really shocked by what i found, the download would reach about 80 or 90% and then jump back to 40%. after that i tried uninstalling battlefield 3 AND origin, then restarted my computer and tried to download. same problem. so now i cant even play the campain, so i tried intalling from the disk and that worked for the campain but i still cant update bf3 or dowload any of the DLCs. please help!!

p.s. the download screen often says it has 00:00:00 left to go

    Hi zerosassasin!

    Following workaround should solve your issue:

    1. Go to www.origin.com/download

    Download and install the latest version of Origin. (For the case that you used a previously downloaded Origin installation file from your hard-drive)

    2. Then add Origin into windows firewall and anti-virus software's white list, direct to folder C:\Program Files\Origin Games. (very important step!)

    3. Make BF3 folder writeable.
    4. Run Origin.exe as administrator.

    5. Then try to install again.

    If you running on a Windows 7 64bit system, you can try to run the Client under the Windows 7 compatibility mode. The Windows 7 compatibility mode is running as x86, and helped in a few cases to solve this issue.

    Please let us know if the problem still exists after this workaround.

    I'm having the exact same problems as the OP and i can say that the above solution does NOT work either.

    And i've tried every other potential solution under the sun.
