12 years agoEA is a hypocrite
I posted a post awhile back, with a DIRECT QUOTE from the game, which included several F-bombs, talking about how I DIDN'T WANT CURSING IN THE GAME. Guess what? EA deleted the post for "objectional ...
Well the difference is that I am not a soldier! Sure when people are actually getting blown up and dying in real life, maybe some strong language is warranted. However, this is just a game, and no one is actually getting physically hurt or dying in Real Life; and I am most other players are civilians, so there is no cause to be cursed at constantly.
It is morally degrading and entirely uncalled for. It turned a game that would have been a 9 (1-10 scale) into a 5 game that I don't even want to turn on.
And you can be certain that I won't be buying Battlefield 4, solely for this issue.
It's not really hypocritical to want users to talk nicely to each other in the game while the game has an artistic vision of showing a realistic version of how soldiers talk in real life. That would wrongly infer that EA condone the rough language of soldiers.
I personally don't condone people shooting each other, that doesn't mean I find it hypocritical to play a game where I shoot people.
Now I don't know why you are so angry as this, it must surely be clear that the feature you request is so rarely sought after that it is not finansially viable to implement. If you are really offended by this you should request a "no bad language" setting for BF4 and try to get as many as you can to support you, if enough say they wont buy a game if it has bad language then EA can do something - I think it will make the game tame and probably oppose you but that's life 🙂
Please accept solutions if they are correct and press the XP button if somebody helped you. This way you help others in the same situation.
