EA Online for Battlefeild Bad Company 2
For the past 2 days, I've attempted to play Battlefeild Bad Company 2 and keep getting a connection issues to EA Online. Are the servers down?

We had some temporary server outages, could you please check if you still have trouble to connecto to online gameplay?

No.. they haven't shutdown the server but... they have downgraded the servers and reduced the ability to service the number of customers. By their own admission, this is "A FREE GAME" and the server gets full. On peak times it's almost impossible to use your game online which has probably been paid as well as the paying for the DLCs.
A side note. Before MS gave this game away in their XBOX Live offerings this game was more popular the the two battlefeilds game put out after it. The EA CEO once said, " I wish someone would explain why this game is so popular?" They really have very little clue on what makes this game special so... now they are going to a cops and robbers format.
