And that's a fact! Sooo much fun in a game that was like nothing we had seen before. Innovative and a bit of a miracle for its time I think. Literally, a game changer and I was hoping BF2042 would take that leap as well.
All time fav is BF2 though..... mostly for the squad play and clans. If you were part of a clan and had TeamSpeak/Ventrilo going you spent the game screaming or laughing your head off Talking to your team to know when to switch classes was essential and a sadly missed component of current game play. Commander/commander assets - really don't know why Dice dropped that thread. BF2 was where "Only in Battlefield" was born
Worst games for me.... BF1 as beautiful and immersive as it was I do enjoy a modern gadgets, sights, vehicles etc. Didn't stop me spending 100 of hours playing it though, but jumping into a BF1 Tank or Plane was not the same thing, and I did miss the chance to fly a chopper now and then. I did get bored with it - first time for a Battlefield game
BC2.... never got it. Enjoyed the gameplay and the destruction but lacked depth I thought. Most memories are of scrabbling around Isla Inocentes after it had been raised to the ground in TDM. Considered it a Battlefield spin-of like Hard Line - something to play while you wait for the new version of the real game.
BFV - played it a lot, but never really registered with me as a Battlefield Game. A lot of innovation that sadly never made the cut in BF2042. I was missing the modern/near future setting by this time.
