GLOBAL PunkBuster GUID BAN 7760083b

I'm not sure if Punkbuster staff are incompetent or their software is. Or both.

I have never cheated in my LIFE! My GUID has not been stolen, and I have not "loaned it out" to someone else to use. I value the game too much to do stupid things like that.

And yet after 15 years of playing Battefield with no black marks against me, they now decide I'm a cheat.

I have tried to appeal twice; once after the ban was imposed, and again after I spoke with EA Support on the phone and raised a ticket.

The same smart alec at PB handled both of my "appeals", and asked for proof that I had not cheated. Seriously, common sense and looking at the GUID history might give him some cause for thought.

But no, the game I play for 1 hour each night to relax, is now dead to me.

Except for servers which do not use PB, and they are very few and far between, and very few players play them as well.

I'm not alone it seems either - there appears to be many people who have suffered the same issue. Although, anyone can claim innocence, but I know I am not a cheat.

So, the options are what? I now have to put more money into EA's pocket to get a new GUID and start all over again?

A third party is telling EA that one of their customer's can no longer play the game purchased from them.

Do I get a refund? What about all the other players who get banned arbitrarily and who claim innocence? What of them?
