[HELP] Error Code 65538:10053

Upon attempts to reinstall my game i get an error with the code 65538:10053 saying i can't redownload my game. Currently the game in origin doesn't even display the image of the case, and when i go into the battlelog through the origin client nothing loads i get an internet explorer error saying cannot display this page. The game appears to have failed the previous update and now can't connect or reinstall, Please help.

EDIT: all my drivers are up to date,
Running windows 7 Ultimate,
8gb of ddr3 ram
3rd gen Intel I7 @ 2.3Ghz
Intel Integrated graphics with NVIDIA 3D..

As far as this goes the computer isn't out of date it's not even 3 monthes old.. The Punkbuster fiile is up to date, ran with no issue but battlefield 3 is refusing to do so.. So i hope that posting the specs of my PC can help someone realize the problem because i'm lost.

    Running as admin didn't solve Error 65538:10053 for me, and I'm seeing the same problem on two machines (Win7 and Win8).

    I've tried both "Update" and "Reinstall" and I still get the same error.

    I've looked in the error logs, and I'm seeing this:

    [3820] OriginServiceResponse QNetworkReply error code [299] HTTP status code [409] https://ecommerce.dm.origin.com/ecommerce/cmsDownloadURL
    [3820] Failed with REST error code 10200
    [3820] ContentInstallFlowDiP: errortype = 65538, errorDesc = The install flow was unable to retrieve the content's JIT URL, errorcode = 10200
    [3820] ContentInstallFlow transtioning to error state: type = 65538, code = 10200, description = The install flow was unable to retrieve the content's JIT URL

    Does seem to be a problem with authentication on EA's servers? I've tried using a different IP (I have two from my ISP), and that hasn't made any difference.

    I've also tried installing Origin to a new copy of Windows 7, and that doesn't even have the option to play - just "Show Game Details", "Remove From Favourites", and "Hide".

    Im having the same problem I tried to get customer service to help they told me to call their number I got University Life and it just refuses to download just pops up the error message no matter if I uninstall reinstall or download origin over again I can't seem to find the solution 

    it doesnt change nor help

    Hi, I have the same problem, i could dl the game but can't download the patch.  With this error.. I am very disapointed about simcity yet and this "present" looks  like a joke

    its ok now, dont forget to close origin completly , not only the windows, before reload origin with administrator
